Bach Ascending
Biography & Highlights
That security guard at 120 Bull St doesn't mess around, checking IDs right on the Savannah sidewalk while the humidity hits you like a wet blanket. Bach Ascending sits inside an old brick storefront where the heavy oak door swings wide to let out a wall of sound. It's not some polished club, just a raw room with exposed beams and concrete floors that bounce every guitar lick straight into your chest.
Bartenders sling cheap cans fast because the crush at the counter gets brutal between sets. You won't find any fancy craft cocktails here, just sticky wooden tables and a crowd of locals shouting over the guitar amps. Sound bounces hard off the brick walls, so don't expect pristine acoustics, but that's why you're jammed in this room anyway.
By midnight, the place is sweating and someone always spills a drink near the merch table. It's loud, messy, and the air conditioning gives up halfway through the headliner's second song. You stumble back out onto Bull Street with your ears ringing and your sneakers sticking to the floor.
